Martin Kochesoko, the leader of Circassian public movement Khabze, was detained on 7 June on his way from the village of Lesken to Nalchik, the capital of Kabardino-Balkaria. According to the police, a bag of drugs was found during a search of Kochesoko and his car and on 13 June, the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced that he had pleaded guilty to purchasing and possessing drugs. The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Martin Kochesoko was detained on June 7, 2019, in Nalchik. On June 13, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) announced that he had pleaded guilty to acquisition and possession of marijuana.
